The Next Stitch
As far as we are aware, a wool shop has been part of Brecon Market since its earliest days. Forty-five years ago, Liz took over Knatty Knitters from its previous owners, and now the baton has been passed to us. We’re proud to continue serving our loyal customers while inspiring new visitors and the next generation of woolly crafters.
Three years ago, Natalie and Chris made the move to Brecon after leading very different careers. Chris, a doctor, transitioned from being a cardiologist to serving as a government medical adviser. In 2024, Natalie took early retirement after a long and varied career in the civil service.
Now living in Pencelli, we are thoroughly enjoying life in beautiful Bannau Brycheiniog and its surrounding areas. Together, we’re a blended family with six grown-up children and two beautiful grandchildren. Natalie is deeply passionate about knitting, crocheting, and sewing. While she doesn’t consider herself an expert, she finds the process of crafting wonderfully mindful and a great way to maintain a happy and well-balanced life. Chris, meanwhile, isn’t a woolly crafter, but his naturally kind and helpful nature always shines through.
